We’ve created a promotional DVD that serves as a coupon. The label of the DVD is a coupon, good for a 25% discount toward the documentary when it is published as a DVD. Below is the jacket that has been designed for the project.

This is the Coupon DVD.  Those who receive a copy of this DVD can return it to us to receive the 25% discount.  It enables us to recycle the DVD and give it to someone else.    Sustainable living is a life that lives life wisely and with respect for the resources that we have.

This documentary will be for people who are thinking about improving their quality of life by taking steps to eat better and to make a smaller footprint on the environment.  First steps could be as simple as planting heirloom vegetables in containers on your patio or balcony. This film will teach how to prepare the soil, plant the seeds, transplant, weed, and harvest your plants.

For those who are looking to do more, the film will discuss composting, how to plant things together that benefit one another (shade, keeping bugs away, helping the soil), how a greenhouse would benefit the growing season.  You’ll also learn about Jersey Buff turkeys, chickens, and sheep and the wonderful and beneficial products they produce.  Christina and Frank Allen will discuss working with cotton, wool, spinning, weaving, soap making, fermenting Kombucha tea, dealing with animals that threaten your livestock, and much more.

  1. Hey Shelley!

Beautiful! Thanks for your great eye! You do Renaissance as well as super technical contemporary work with equal ease. (Do I really sound like that? …Sounds so deep.)

    Keep up the good works.

  2. This is a fantastic idea! I send e-mails regularly to a long list of people about food storage, emergency preparedness, provident living, gardening, etc. I am sure they would be interested in this film you are making. How will you send this? Will this be for sale?
You are truly amazing and extremely hard working. What a wonderful example you are to many people.
Do you become so attached to your many animals that you can’t bear to part with them? LOve, Jean LZ

    1. Hi.

Thank you for taking a moment to comment about the project. The documentary is still being filmed, but we’ve made amazing progress with it. We have a tentative completion date of December. It will be available as a DVD, but we’re not sure of the date, because we’re entering it into some film festivals and doing private screenings beforehand.

We’ll be posting our progress, however, so that everyone can see how it’s going. So stay tuned!
